W Editions is another fine art editions publisher based in Brooklyn, New York.
W Editions acts as the marketplace, the printer, the manufacturer, the warehouse, and the marketer for every artist we work with.
When you purchase a print, 50% of the sale goes directly to the artist, the rest is reinvested into the next edition.
Artist’s are not required to pay any money or buy any materials to produce an edition when they are selected and offered a project.

Printing & Publishing
W Editions publishes high-quality fine art limited editions in direct collaboration with emerging and early-career artists. Every edition we produce is an original print — conceived, developed, and hand-printed in close partnership with the artist.
Our publishing format gives artists the opportunity to explore or rediscover the potential of printmaking, while creating accessible entry points for both experienced and novice collectors to discover new talent.
As the publisher behind each edition, our mission is to introduce artists to new techniques and materials, or reconnect them with familiar ones they haven't used in a while. We also hope to connect these artists with new audiences and buyers eager to discover art at accessible prices.
About Nathan
Nathan Wong is an artist and printmaker with experience collaborating with artists ranging from emerging to blue-chip.
Growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Nathan became obsessed with printmaking, but not because of the rich history of artists collaborating with pioneering print shops in the city from the 1960s to the 1990s—which included the founding of the Tamarind Lithography Workshop on Tamarind Ave and fabulous prints by artists like Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, and Ruth Asawa to name a few.
No, his obsession with print came from the complete volume of the Gutenberg bible printed on vellum and located at The Huntington, just two miles from his childhood home. He recalls going on school field trips and spending too much time astounded by this first example of the success of movable type (in the western world).
Since then, Nathan has obviously chosen to fall in love with the print method which revolutionized modern printing: Lithography. Although lithography is his chosen specialty, Nathan employs an “agnostic” approach to working with artists allowing the artwork and the artist’s vision to dictate the best printing method.
Nathan now lives in Brooklyn and works with artists who are making art in New York City and the surrounding area.
Nathan holds a BFA in Printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design.

FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions
Each edition we publish is printed in a single, one-time run. These are original prints, hand-printed in collaboration with and approval of the artist.
Once a full edition is complete, the plates, screens, blocks, molds, or other matrices used to produce it are destroyed so that no additional prints can ever be made from them, this process is also known as cancelling. All test prints and proofs not included in the edition documentation are also destroyed.
We keep cancelled plates in an archive for record-keeping and to demonstrate the printing process, but W Editions will never republish or restock an edition. Once it's sold out, that's it.
Getting into the art market from the outside can feel intimidating, but prints have always been one of the most accessible ways in.
They're traditionally priced to introduce collectors to new artists and new work, making it possible to build a collection at a more approachable price point while discovering artists worth following.

Short answer: We don’t know.
Long answer:
We work with our artists on every step and require their approval and collaboration to get everything to look exactly as they envisioned. Some processes take years, some only a few months.
The next print will be released…. whenever we finish it. When it’s been documented, and photographed, and written about. There are a hundred steps to this process, and printing is only one of them.
We are extremely picky about quality and materials as well, and we are against “churning” out prints as the high-tech fast paced world we live in often expects. Stay tuned… subscribe to our newsletter! You’ll see when our next launch is there before anywhere else.
